Dapotime contains 60mg Dapoxetine and is used to stop premature ejaculation. It works by blocking the reuptake of serotonin which prevents the action of specific areas of the brain responsible for ejaculation. How to use: The optimal way to use Dapoxetine cannot be generalized and varies from person to person. One hour after consumption the Dapoxetine concentration in the blood reaches his peak. After 2-3 hours it is at about 50%. Please understand that this can also vary from body to body.

Dosage: the ideal dosage depends on the response of your organism and cannot be predicted. Therefore it is strongly recommended to start with a small dose (15-30mg).

Possible side effects of Dapoxetine: Dizziness (especially when standing up quickly), fainting, sickness, headache. Side effects often only occur when you overdose.

Interactions with other substances: Combining Dapoxetine with illegal drugs can lead to harmful and undesired interactions and should be strictly avoided. Even though some studies could not find interactions between the use of alcohol and Dapoxetine, it is not recommended to consume alcohol when using Dapoxetine. Dapoxetine (Priligy) – Premature Ejaculation Pills

Also called Priligy, dapoxetine is the first oral medicine that’s specifically produced for the treatment of premature ejaculation. These premature ejaculation pills are currently not available for purchase in every country, but it’s now being approved rapidly. However, it’s worth noting that the pill may not cure your condition permanently and you will only take it whenever you feel like having sex.

What is Priligy/Dapoxetine?

So what is dapoxetine used for? Dapoxetine also sold under the brand name Priligy belongs to the family of SSRI drugs or the Serotonin Reuptake inhibitors. These drugs are specifically made for the treatment of depression. The initial plan was to come up with a new anti-depressant drug, yet it was never materialized. But what they ended up making instead is a drug that can delay orgasm.

In fact, doctors would sometimes prescribe anti-depressant medications for the treatment of premature ejaculation. These drugs can work well in delaying ejaculation. However, it’s the first time that a drug was manufactured mainly for this reason.

The drug is available in two different doses – dapoxetine 60 mg and 30 mg. Ideally, you should start with the lower dose and you can later move up to the higher dose if needed.

SSRI Drugs and Delayed Ejaculation

Several medications belong to the SSRI family of drugs, which are a class of antidepressants. These drugs have been tested “off-label” for the treatment of premature ejaculation because of their ability to postpone ejaculation among men. Some examples are Fluoxetine, Paroxetine, Citalopram, and Sertraline. All these medications have been proven effective in the treatment of Premature Ejaculation and Paroxetine is believed to exert the strongest delay.

However, people should understand that these drugs were not yet approved for PE treatment, mainly because of the daily dosing required. The generic Priligy has to be taken almost daily just to achieve a better therapeutic response and it could take a long time for it to work. Not only that, but also these drugs may also come with side effects that will remain in the body for a long time.

Clinical Trials

There have been several clinical trials carried on the use of Priligy for the treatment of premature ejaculation. The study has also looked into how long does dapoxetine make you last. One study suggested that men who have IELT ≤ 2 minutes, the 30 mg or 60 mg dose of dapoxetine has been found more effective compared to the placebo. It was also found at the end of the study that the IELT has increased from 0.9 minutes to 2.78 and 3.32 minutes when treated with the 30 mg and 60 mg dose respectively.

Both the Priligy 60 mg and 30 mg doses have been evaluated by various industry-sponsored studies among men who are at least 18 years of age. A stopwatch was used to measure the result of the treatment and the premature ejaculation profile. At the end of the study, it was concluded that the premature ejaculation profile and mean IELT have significantly improved after the treatment of both doses when compared to placebo. An analysis of data pooled from various studies has shown that both dapoxetine 30 and 60 mg have increased the IELT and control on ejaculation. These drugs have also shown promising results for the treatment of ejaculation-related distress among patients when compared to the placebo.

The effectiveness of Dapoxetine has been the same across all individual trials, which indicate that dapoxetine is consistently more effective compared to placebo regardless of the demographic characteristics of the patients. In these studies, both the 30 mg and 60 mg doses have been well tolerated by the patients with low chances of severe side effects. An observational study was also done to gauge the safety and efficacy of the drug. It concluded that dapoxetine that was administered 1 to 3 hours before the sexual tryst at a dose of 30 mg can be increased to 60 mg if the response is insufficient and there were no side effects.

All studies done on dapoxetine drug treatment have all lead to an improvement of the patient’s control over ejaculation, satisfaction in sexual intercourse, and a decrease in ejaculated-related distress.

Why is Dapoxetine (Priligy) Special?

Doctors have long been using anti-depressants to treat patients with premature ejaculation. Some of these medications include fluvoxamine, fluoxetine (Prozac), paroxetine, citalopram, and clomipramine. However, the biggest problem with using these drugs is that you’ll have to take them every single day to ensure that you’ll benefit from its effects of delaying ejaculation that could lead to a more satisfying sexual encounter. But taking powerful anti-depressant drugs every day even if you are not depressed may not be a good idea. You could suffer from harsh side effects that could also involve your sexual function. These could lower your sexual libido and increase your sexual dysfunction.

On the other hand, Priligy works faster compared to these anti-depressant medications. So how does Priligy work? When taken, the body absorbs it pretty quickly and you can take it at least a couple of hours before you will start having sex. It also gets eliminated from your system quickly, which minimizes the risk of long-term side effects.

The biggest benefit here is that it can be used as an on-demand treatment for premature ejaculation. This means that you don’t need to constantly take the pill that could put you at high risk of suffering from the harmful side effects.

Personal Experience (Review)

As of now, Dapoxetine is still not available in the UK market. But I managed to get these premature ejaculation pills privately. It’s quite expensive, costing me £15 for each pill. My lasting time in every sexual encounter is usually short. I can be at it for 1 to 5 minutes without stopping. But after taking 30 mg of Dapoxetine UK, my lasting time has greatly improved. In the past couple of weeks that I was experimenting with the drug, I was able to last for 2 to 8 min on average, which is better than before.

While it did not make me a marathon man overnight, I did notice some improvement and it worked really well for me each time, for as long as I take the drug at least 2 hours earlier. Unfortunately, I did have some bad news and that’s the fact that I notice some side effects, more specifically, headaches. I heard that Dapoxetine can cause some side effects for some users and I guess I’m one of them.

The headaches were lessened after that, however, it did not totally disappear. So will I recommend these premature ejaculation pills? Since I’m not an expert in the medical field, I know I’m not in the position to recommend a certain drug. So I would suggest talking it through with your doctor before you give it a try.

But here are two things that I would recommend that you do if you decide to take the drug:

• Avoid buying online if you’re from a country where the drug is still not licensed for use.

Working Evidence

The main evidence on dapoxetine’s effectiveness can be found in large-scale research done by Dr. Chris G McMahon. He took the time to review the five major studies conducted on more than 6,000 men. These are his findings:

A 30 mg dose of the drug has increased the average lasting time of men from 0.9 minutes to 3.1 minutes. As for the 60 mg dose, the lasting time has increased to 3.6 minutes. Patients on the placebo group have increased theirs to 1.9 minutes. There are a significant number of patients who revealed that their premature ejaculation has improved after using dapoxetine.

With these findings, it seems that dapoxetine can indeed increase the lasting time of men for a couple of minutes.

Control Feelings

The study has also noted that a change in the patient’s confidence in their level of control. Before, only 0.9% of men are saying that their control level is better. After taking 30 mg of the drug, it has gone to 26.2%. But on a 60 mg dose, the control level is at 30.2% while the placebo was only 11.2%. These pieces of evidence are proof that Priligy really works, although these might still not be enough for most men.

Recommended Dosage

All patients are recommended to start with a lower dose when taking premature ejaculation pills.

However, if the patient does not respond well to the 30 mg dose and he has not suffered from any harsh side effects, the dose might be increased to 60mg. It should be taken at least 1 – 3 hours before any sexual performance.

The severity and incidence of the side effects are expected to be higher at a 60 mg dose. But at this level, the safety and effectiveness of dapoxetine haven’t been established yet especially for those who are 65 years old and above.

Side Effects

Dr. McMahon has also assessed how many of the men in his study have experienced side effects from the drug and these are his findings for the 30 mg dose:

• Diarrhea – 3.5%
• Dizziness – 5.8%
• Fatigue – 2%
• Headache – 5.6%
• Insomnia – 2.1%
• Nasopharyngitis – 3.2%
• Nausea – 11%
• Somnolence – 3.1%

As for the 60 mg dose, these are the findings:

• Diarrhea – 6.9%
• Dizziness – 10.9%
• Fatigue – 4.1%
• Headache – 8.8%
• Insomnia – 3.9%
• Nasopharyngitis – 2.9%
• Nausea – 22.2%
• Somnolence – 4.7%

These side effects are far more than the placebo group. For instance, only 2.2% had nausea but the highest number of side effects is headaches, with only 4.8% in the placebo group have them. In the end, Dr. McMahon concludes that dapoxetine is generally safe to use for most men.

But just like with taking any medication, it’s important to be aware of some warnings. And if you’re suffering from some other conditions, it is best to avoid it or discuss it first with your doctor. The manner in which you decide to treat your premature ejaculation will merely depend upon your personal choice.

Premature Ejaculation final thoughts

This condition isn’t easy to deal with and can cause frustrations not only to the patient but to his partner as well. Thus, it’s not a surprise why men who have this would be willing to experiment with different drugs out there. There’s plenty of hype surrounding the use of dapoxetine and priligy and it’s pretty easy to get carried away with these.

Given the findings above, there’s no doubt that it can help men with their premature ejaculation. However, this drug will only increase your lasting time to a few minutes. Also, it does come with some side effects, so you may want to gauge whether the benefits are truly worth it.
